You might be fully government funded, have government plus some private funding, or funding your services privately. If you are funding your services privately then you can design your service however you want with no restrictions. If you are using government funding, then you will under one of the following funding programmes.
Individualised Funding (IF)
With Individualised Funding, you are allocated support hours which are then translated to an annual budget. You then choose how/what you spend it on. Together with a Manawanui Coach, you develop a service plan about what you want your support to look like and how you’re going to achieve this.
Enhanced Individualised Funding (EIF)
If you live in the Bay of Plenty region you may be able to access Enhanced Individualised Funding.
Enhanced Individualised Funding takes the idea of personalised budgets one step further, by allocating funding so a disabled person can choose to spend it on disability supports that help them achieve their goals rather than have to spend it on a specific service. Click here for more information.
Enabling Good Lives (EGL)
Enabling Good Lives helps people with disabilities achieve their goals. Unlike Individualised Funding, EGL also allows people to purchase goods, as well as services to help them pursue their goals.
